Having the ability to quickly add accurate measurements to markups can save a lot of time, and make planning and review processes a lot simpler. If measurements are important to you and your team, you should try our advanced tool set in Drawboard PDF PRO.
Drawboard PDF PRO includes the ability to calibrate the Measurement Tools which then allows you to scale your documents and then measure lines and area as a part of your annotations.
Simply calibrate the Measurement Tools by defining a known scale/measurement, which will then set a scale for your document accordingly. The units of measurement can be set, or updated, at any time in your settings, and ensure that your markups are accurate.
Once the document has been calibrated, you can measure out linear distances or rectangular/polygon areas. The properties of these shapes can be changed by using the radial menu.

An additional feature that is part of the measurement toolset is the digital protractor. Compatible with Surface Dial for easier access, the protractor makes measuring angles easy.
You can set an angle anywhere between 0° to 360° with your finger/pen/mouse by sliding it radially around the protractor tool, draw with any ink tool to obtain a ruled line under the ruler guides, and move the protractor around the screen by dragging it from the center of the tool.
Similar to the Measure tools above, simply set the measurement calibration from the measurement tool set within the radial menu to get started.
