Here’s how to fill and sign a form using Drawboard PDF.

Using the Drawboard PDF iOS, Mac or Windows app? Fillable form fields are automatically detected on Drawboard PDF iOS, Mac and Windows apps so that you can fill any PDF form with ease.

Fill a digital form

Using a mouse and keyboard:

1. Click on any text form field
2. Type using your keyboard to fill in the field
3. Press ‘tab’ on your keyboard to move to the next field
4. Repeat steps 1-3 to complete the form

Using a stylus and touch screen:

1. Tap on any text form field
2. Fill in the field by writing with your stylus (the text written will automatically be detected and fill the form field)
3. Tap the next form field and repeat steps 1 and 2 until the form is filled out

Note: You can:

• Tap checkboxes or radio buttons to check them
• Tap to select from dropdown menus (available on the Windows app)
• Using a stylus on the Windows app? If you make a mistake, you can cross out what you’ve written and it will automatically clear so that you can start again!

Sign a document using Drawboard PDF

Create and store your digital signature to insert on any document, any time.

1. Click Create New Tool ('+') at the bottom of the favorites bar.
2. Select Insert
3. Click on the Signature Tool
4. Using your mouse, finger or pen, either double click the Signature Tool, click anywhere on your canvas or tap the 3 dots on the Signature Tool
5. Press the new signature button

And then do one of the following:

Draw your signature

(follow these steps if you’re using a touch screen device)

1. Tap Create new
2. Select your ink color and thickness
3. Use your finger or stylus to draw your signature
4. Tap save

Your signature will be saved to your signature bank and can be accessed any time you select the Signature tool.

Use a font to sign

1. Tap continue under Use a font to sign
2. Type your signature
3. Select a font
4. Name your signature and then select Save

Sign using your phone

(Available on the Windows app and web app)

1. Tap Sign from your phone
2. Use your mobile phone’s camera app to scan the QR code
3. A webpage will pop up, tap it.
4. Draw your signature using your finger
5. Tap submit on your phone (your new signature will then appear in Drawboard PDF)
6. Name your signature
7. Tap accept signature on Drawboard PDF
